Last week, I took our campaign to the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C., in hopes of meeting like-minded Conservatives from across the country. It was inspiring to see so many young people, and seasoned political veterans, with such strong conservative values and admiration for our country. These Conservatives attended this event to strengthen their resolve to help elect good leaders who will enact real 'change' in Washington.
As a Republican candidate for U.S. Congress, I talked with many media outlets and shared my vision of a better future for America. As a small business owner, I understand how lucky we are to live in a country that allows us to pursue our dreams and create a better life for our families.
The 2012 election will signify the hope and faith that Americans are looking for in our leadership, in hopes of restoring that American exceptionalism that we all know and love. That leadership will start with elected officials who understand that it's the American people who will make that dream become a reality.
This event reminds me of the vital role each one of us must play in order to protect our children's future. We must all do our part, and not leave it in the hands of the increasing government bureaucracy. The energy at CPAC is evidence that there is power in the people, and those people can change the future of our great nation.
