The message from President Barack Obama and Debbie Wasserman Schultz in tonight’s State of the Union address is crystal clear- they both want us to forget what their record has been over the past three years, and they both want to continue to expand government at the expense of our freedoms. 

Their goal is straightforward— to continue down their unsustainable path of increasing deficits, debt, and government encroachment while dividing Americans along racial and class lines.  Their highly polarizing ideology will only lead the country towards increasing amounts of government dependency and ultimately, national bankruptcy.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz Supports Internet Censorship— Refuses to Drop Co-Sponsorship of the Stop Online Piracy Act

Pembroke Pines, FL (January 23, 2012)—  Debbie Wasserman Schultz is continuing her support for The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), a measure that as currently written would give the federal government the authority to shut down Internet websites and threaten free speech.

SOPA would permit the U.S. Department of Justice and copyright holders to obtain court orders against websites they accuse of enabling or encouraging copyright infringement, which would require search engines to stop linking to such sites and Internet service providers to block access to them.

This new authority amounts to a form of Internet censorship, and the legislation would have a chilling effect on free speech, particularly on social networking sites and blogging websites.  Read more...

Rare ‘Debbie in the District’ Sighting, as She Fundraises for Obama

(October 28, 2011)  The big news of from yesterday was not that First Lady Michele Obama was in South Florida for a fundraiser, but the fact that  DNC Chairwoman/Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz actually made an appearance in her own congressional district, as the two attended a fundraiser to raise some loot for their man, President Barack Obama.

Debbie has not had much contact with her constituents of late because her “more important” responsibilities- headlining fundraisers- take priority over her duties as a congresswoman.  No chance of her holding an open town hall meeting or dealing directly with the questions and concerns of her constituents as our economy stagnates- Debbie has clearly moved on to “bigger and better” things.

But to Debbie’s credit, she seems to have made the transition smoothly from full-time Congresswoman to Fundraiser-In-Chief for President Obama.  We know it’s a hard job schmoozing with elite Democrat donors in South Carolina, Orlando, Nevada, or Massachusetts rather than dealing with your constituents in Davie or Cooper City.  So welcome back, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, your constituents are honored that you took the time out of your busy schedule to pay a visit.
